It was back to Karma Lake of Menteith for my 2nd wedding here of 2024!

Although not far from Stirling, Glasgow or the nearby town of Aberfoyle, it’s peaceful and a lovely spot.

I’d caught up with Caroline & Celestine a couple of weeks before the big day itself for their Pre-Wedding session. This gave them the chance to see how I work, and chat through the photography plan for the wedding day itself.

I arrived early to cover both Bridal & Groom Prep, this was made simple as they were getting ready in adjacent rooms.

Caroline & Celestine kept the morning relaxed, having only their closest friends & family there. Allowing them to take their time, savouring the little moments in the morning and enjoy the process.

I was pleased to work alongside Blue Juice Media once again. They take a similarly chilled approach to the day, capturing the organic moments as they unfold.

Caroline and Celestine included a Unity Sand Ceremony as part of their day, inviting friends and family to help fill their vessel with sand. This traditionally symbolises two becoming one.

After the ceremony, we let everyone have some drinks (no sense in trying to compete with the bar opening) before gathering everyone for a group photo, and then moving on to family photos.

After family photos, it was on to couples portraits.

An easy task, with a lovely couple in such a scenic setting! We headed through the hotel gardens and out towards a nearby pier (Jetty? Boat parking ramp thing?).

I always like to give the couple some privacy from their guests during our portrait session, and Caroline and Celestine were no exception here. Being away from guests helps to minimise distractions, any potential embarrassment and is just another way of reducing any stress of being in front of the camera.

Back to the reception, it was time for speeches, dinner, cake & dancing!

Of course, a massive thanks to my fellow wedding vendors for their part in shaping such a wonderful day for Caroline & Celestine.
